General Business Terms of Car4Rent and its Provider – the company Article Group, s. r. o.
1. Article of a Binding Order
1. The renter shall receive the type of the car and its equipment including additional service as specified in the booking confirmation issued on the basis of the renter’s order.
2. The car must be returned in time and in the place that has been agreed upon, in compliance with business hours. A delayed return will result in charging another rental day, for each commenced 24-hour period. In case the owner is not informed about this fact, he is entitled to require penalty based on the price list of the car rental.
2. Terms of Paid Service
1. Car Wash: cars must be returned perfectly clean. The car is considered clean: exterior – bodywork, hubcaps and windshields must not show visible dirt (e.g.: mud, insect), interior – seats, feet room, dashboard etc. must be clean (e.g.: without breaches, scratches, dirty stains, there must be no litter). If it be to the contrary, sanction shall be applied relating to the wash charge based on the price list of the car-rental.
2. Travel abroad: crossing the border of the Czech Republic is allowed with a rented car (within EU countries). In case of an unauthorized border crossing, the renter shall be charged a standard price for this service including sanction at the amount of CZK 10.000, - .
3. Another driver: the car can be driven by another driver who has to be specified in the contract on the car rental. If the owner finds out that the car had been handed over to another person for driving and this service had not been agreed upon, a standard charge for this service shall be assessed additionally + sanction CZK 10.000,- .
7. Fuel: the renter is obliged to return the car with the same content of the fuel tank as it had been handed over at the moment of renting. If it be to the contrary, sanction shall be applied at the amount of CZK 180, - as well as fuel compensation based on current fuel prices.
3. Renter’s Responsibility for Damage
1.Each occurrence of a loss (with the renter being involved), even if not resulting in any damage to the rented car, in its destruction, theft of the car or any of its parts, has to be immediately reported by the renter to the owner and to the Police of CR. In addition to that, he is obliged to fill in a form, a record on the car accident which he had received together with the car documentation, and to provide a list of all participants, witnesses, vehicles and other respective subjects. When failing to meet this duty, a possible recourse of the insurance company will be enforced against the renter.
2. The renter is obliged to cover all costs associated with damage disposal, which had arisen on the car and its equipment, or related to the car service during the rental period that will not be covered by the insurance company according to the participative occurrence of a loss at the maximum amount of 5 %.
3. The renter shall reimburse all damage including lost profit during the car repair which had been caused by driving the rented car under the influence of alcohol, medicaments or drugs.
4. Personal Data Protection
The renter agrees that the owner keeps his personal data and uses them for the purpose of fulfilling the contract. These personal data shall be provided to third parties only if the owner considers it inevitable to be able to prevent or avoid an illegal or punishable act.
5. Sanction
1. Returning an unclean article of rent 480, - CZK
2. Losing the remote-control key 9.500, - CZK
3. Interior damage 900, - CZK + damage
4. Losing the key without remote control 950, - CZK
5. Losing or damaging OTP, insurance, green card 900, - CZK
6. Kilometer over the limit of free kilometers 3, 50/5, 00 CZK based on the car type
7. Losing obligatory car equipment 800, - CZK/piece
8. No refueling 180, - CZK + PHM
9. Exterior damage 900, - CZK + damage
6. Car-Rental Weekend
Handover: Friday 15:00 – 18:00 (or earlier when agreed)
Return: Monday 08:00 – 11:00. Within this option, each car type has its conditions specified in the booking form. In particular, it relates to free kilometers. Extra kilometers over the scope of free kilometers are specified in the booking form as well.
7. Kilometers
Kilometers, or more precisely their limits are to be selected for each type of the car in the booking form or in the price list. In addition to that, it includes additional charges for exceeding the ordered free kilometers. Values of free kilometers are calculated per day and these values are multiplied by the number of rental days. Example: 100 km per day and a 5-day rental = 500 free km.
